Upcoming Community Events
We are grateful for the many community events and partners helping support Austin’s House this summer. Here are a few upcoming opportunities to connect with us and support local children in crisis:
July 16: Third Thursday
Stop by and see us during Third Thursday to sip and support our local downtown merchants and businesses at the Main Street Gardnerville Third Thursday Wine Walk. If wine isn’t your thing – don’t worry! Despite the name, Third Thursday Wine Walks have something for everyone. From hydration stations to non-alcoholic options, food, music, and more. The Third Thursday Wine Walks are an excellent way to meet and support your local small business community and meet some incredible people along the way, like us! Pre-register up until noon July 16 here.
July 18: Sierra Shadows Honey & Lavender Farm Event
This event in the Genoa Foothills will include photos with animals and will benefit Austin’s House, Kids & Horses and Suicide Prevention Network. Saturday, July 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sierra Shadows Honey & Lavender Farm, 729 Indian Trail Road, Gardnerville. $20. Reserve your time slot now here!
July 31: Genoa Wine Walk
The final Genoa Wine Walk of the summer will support Austin’s House! Purchase wine glasses and wristbands for participation at The Genoa Gallery, 2292 Main Street #7, Genoa. Check-in starts the day of the event at 4:45 p.m. in front of the gallery. Visit the Genoa Gallery website for details.
Aug. 9: IEC Competition
Austin’s House will be part of the IEC Competition. Details to follow.
Aug. 11: Sheriff’s Night Out in Carson City
Come say hello during this community event. Austin’s House will be participating in Sheriff’s Night Out in Carson City, a family-friendly community event focused on safety, connection and local resources. Stop by, say hello and learn more about Austin’s House and the children we serve.
Aug. 15: Community Shred Event
Mark your calendar for our upcoming shred event Saturday, August 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at United Federal Credit Union, 1647 U.S. Hwy 305 N, Minden. Protect your identity, clear out old paperwork, and support Austin’s House. The event is free and open to the public; donations to Austin’s House are greatly appreciated!
