What we do
Austin’s House operates an emergency shelter facility for children up to age 18. Children arrive to due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other forms of maltreatment when a family relative or licensed foster care family is not available.
We strive to give the children in our care a stable environment. We ensure that they receive:
- Balanced meals and healthy snacks
- Clothing and personal care items
- Educational support and counseling
- Medical screenings and attention to health issues, including vaccinations and visits to doctors and dentists
